Good day guys. In today's benchmark, we're testing the 13-inch MacBook air of 2020. It's got the modern ARM Apple M1 chip and 8GB RAM.
It's an 8‑Core CPU and a 7‑Core GPU and has got 256GB of SSD storage.
I've been running 22 games and got well surprised, positively, by its performance.
Due to the lack of an HDMI port, I had to use a USB C to HDMI adapter. As I noticed very soon the adapter hadn't got the best-built quality. So I already apologize for the crackling sound in for example the Sims 4. In other games like Fortnite, the crackling sound has been so bad that I had to use music for the clip.
I haven't experienced any sound bugs when not using the USB C adapter. So without recording the sound is perfectly fine all the time.

Attacked to the USB C to HDMI adaptor I've been using the Elgato HD60 S capture card. This recording method doesn't affect the 3D performance at any point. That's why the FPS you're going to see in this video are the same values you're going to get.

So after testing these 22 games I can say this system is fast in games. Especially when you keep in mind that this device is just cooled passively and most titles aren't even optimized for the Apple M1 chip yet.
I'm already excited about what upcoming Apple chips are capable of 3D performance-wise. This first generation is more than promising.

Thanks a lot for listening to my voiceover. I hope you're going to enjoy this video. Feel free to leave a like and subscribe to this channel.
I hope I'll see you all in the next one. Stay safe and have a great day.
