Were you ever wondering what the difference in image quality between smartphone / tablet, 1.0-inch camera and full frame is? We have tested that in various conditions. There is Apple iPad Pro 2018 with 1/2.5" sensor (the same module can be found in iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone SE 2020 (2nd generation)). 1.0" camera is represented by Panasonic Lumix TZ100 / ZS100 compact camera ultrazoom and full frame (2.7") was Panasonic Lumix S5.

We have tested several scenes on auto mode in the first part of the video. The are both good-light and low-light scenes. Then, we have tested all the cameras at the same scene with the same ISO (aperture and exposure times were matched so the total exposure should be the same - iPad/iPhone created surprisingly brighter images even though it should not). At the end, there is a scene comparing the different ISO settings which approximately match the 8times differences between sizes of the sensors.

Inconsistencies in angle of view are caused by the fact that iPad/iPhone has 28mm EQ lens and TZ100/ZS100 provides 37mm EQ as the widest settings in 4K mode. Lumix S5 with 20-60mm lens covered both these options.
