My latest upgrade just arrived!

The specs
* 2.3ghz i9 8-core CPU
* 1TB ssd
* Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB
* 32GB RAM
* Price
* 3199 + tax

Why I chose the specs
* MBP base model comes with upgraded 512gb storage.
* My older 2015 ran out of space quickly due to video editing.
* Sweet spot would be 1TB because 2tb is a lot of space for many videos and is a single point of failure
* The graphics card wasn’t that great - Final Cut Pro with heavy edits would cause the fan to run really hot
* Programming requires decent modern CPU with tons of RAM
* I multitask on Chrome frequently with over 20 tabs
* Chrome’s a memory hog
* No gaming

Price: $3199 for the upgraded model with 2.3Ghz 8-core
* With the 6-core version and all the upgraded specs, it’s $100 less than the mid-tier version.
* The 5500M GPU is pretty similar in performance between 4 and 8gb vram
* 8GB Ram is an overkill for majority of users
* Rather spend the $100 on an 8-core CPU.
