This laptop was very slow, so we upgraded to a 250GB Crucial MX500 SSD. In the process, I noticed that one of the hinges was loose because one of the hinge screws had broken the metal insert out of its screw boss in the palm rest. I used Super Glue and baking soda to rebuild the screw boss and affix the insert to repair the hinge.
