In this video I will show you how to add royalty free music from the YouTube music library to videos in the iMovie app on your iPhone or iPad.
The YouTube music library is loaded with thousands of songs that you can use in your videos.
This is an updated version of last year’s video.
I did not realize how popular this video is until so many of you started asking how to use the YouTube music library in the new YouTube studio.
And actually, it is way easier than before.
Start by opening the browser on your iPhone or iPad.
Type out “youtube studio”
Click on the first link and make sure to open the desktop view and not the actual mobile app.
Once you open your YouTube Studio page, click on the “music note” symbol on the lower left to open the YouTube Music Library
.
Select or search in the search window for the song you have picked beforehand for your movie. I am using the first one for convenience.
Then click the download button on the right and you will see the downloading in process on the top.

When the download is completed, clink on that same symbol and select the song you just downloaded.
Once the file is open, click the “share” button in the upper right corner and choose to open it with iMovie.
Once in iMovie, select the movie you are working on and it will import the song automatically.
