We've spent over a month with two configurations of Apple's 2020 5K iMac, trying to figure out which upgrades are worth it, and we've finally settled on a specific configuration which offers the best bang for the buck for most people.

We also compared these iMacs to the previous two generations of the top-spec iMac and various Macs including the iMac Pro, the 16" MacBook Pro and even the 2019 Mac Pro.

We then dug deep into various RAM configurations to figure out if it's worth mixing Apple's factory RAM with aftermarket RAM.. and we finally found the optimal configuration.

We even found some interesting info on the difference between having two sticks or four sticks of RAM.

And finally.. we discuss the future of the iMac with Apple Silicon and we talk about who should be buying an Intel iMac right now and who should be waiting.
