$5 Onion Omega 2 IoT review

I review the Onion Omega 2 (plus) Internet of Things (IoT) device. This is an early release model running beta software, so I had a hiccup or two which I share in this video and I'm sure will be corrected in the near future.

This little computer WAS truly $5 when it first was introduced. Since then, the price has been creeping up and it around $17 now as of October 2018.

Overall once I got the device configured it ran just fine and the free cloud service that communicates with the Omega 2 (optionally) was solid. I used an expansion dock with my setup which is a few dollars more but gives the full GPIO connector stack for putting on other hats/shields so you can add other things like cellular boards, prototype shields, and more.
