In February of 2017, Pete Lerro of Lerro Photography hosted a special photo charter on the Grand Canyon Railway out of Williams, Arizona. This was two straight days of non-stop, steam action along the 65 mile branch of the former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe!

Day 1 saw recently returned consolidation, No. 29 haul a four-car Pullman train from Williams to the south rim of the Grand Canyon with runbys performed from dawn to dusk. Day 2 began with fantrip legend, No. 4960 and a five-car Pullman train performing runbys into the afternoon. Also included was the regular train with the now rare, Alco FPA-4's at the head end. The icing on the cake was both 29 and 4960 doubleheading a eight-car Pullman train all the way to day's end, a pure example of steam at its very finest!

This is twenty minutes of a jam-packed excitement as the Grand Canyon Railway once again showcases the true citadel of steam!
