Main tips on how to kick in fight choreography:
- Make sure you learn the Proper Technique from a Martial Art or some online tutorials.. and practice!
- Take MORE space than you need to for stacking.
- Work WITH your partner, and don't go too fast!
- Wear body pads for harder and repetitive kicks.
- STRETCH!

Specific tips for kicks to look like Bruce Lee!
- Face Hits are always stacked. Roundhouse Kicks and Hook Kicks usually swing all the way through, so you're going to stack them a little different then you will front kicks or side kicks.
- Body Hits can be stacked or you can make contact.. but you don't need to make contact unless you're really close and will be seeing that.. for contact, I recommend round kicks to the body. Make sure you're using the top of your foot, and tapping your partner!
- Leg Kicks can be tricky, so just stack them.. there isn't any good way to sell them by taking a hit.. unless you pad up.
- Kicking someone on the ground can be tricky, but you can still do it! I recommend working out your fight choreography before you start rolling.
